I’ve been staring at this screen trying to think of a way to write about how excited I am about these images without using the word excited (I just did it two times so now what??). Excited doesn’t really encompass the emotion I have. How about pumped? I am so PUMPED to bring your Daniel’s senior portraits!! Why? Well because I’ve noticed that the current market for senior portraits is geared toward females and I just don’t think that’s fair. But also because at his core Daniel is a rock musician and rock has always been a part of my life. In shooting Daniel’s portraits I got to check off two of my current goals while also having a lot of fun joking around with Daniel and his family (mom and siblings joined us for the shoot and didn’t tease him. Much.)
Daniel graduates next month and then heads off to the University of Florida in Gainesville. He’s pretty quiet but has a great smile and laughed at all my corny jokes (major bonus points there Daniel). I’m going to miss seeing him around town and waving at him while he’s working at the local Target but can’t wait to see where he goes in life. Who knows, maybe it will be a huge stage with lights and screaming fans.
Daniel, thank you so much for having me take your senior portraits and for being such a good sport.

The rest of these images were made using some off camera lighting. Many thanks to Daniel’s sister for coming along and being my “lighting assistant.”
Behind that sweet face (sorry Daniel, I don’t think most senior boys want to be described as sweet:) lies a death metal musician (there, I made up for it).

I know Daniel would love to hear what you think so leave some comments below! Also, class of 2013 there are still a couple weeks of school left and graduation announcements are being sent soon, it’s not too late to grab a quick portrait session, hit me up here to set up your portrait session in the next two weeks and I’ll have your images ready before school lets out.
